HOMEWORK:
THEMES:
This week in Kindergarten, we will be focusing on Rain and Rainbows!
Homework:
The following skills are to be completed in this weeks homework packet: ending sounds, counting, sequencing, counting by 5's, equal/unequal parts, comparing, and writing.
Please read at least twenty minutes per day/night with your child and record the minutes on the reading log at the end of the packet.
REMINDERS:
- Homework is due in the homework folder on Friday’s.
- Any portion of the homework that requires the child to write should be done using a pencil. This way a mistake can be fixed
- Each homework page should be neatly colored with crayons. Coloring is one of the best ways to develop the small muscles in the hand, and in turn, improve fine motor skills.
- Please remember to go over your child’s Jolly Phonics folder every night. Review the letter name, sound, and action with your child. Have them repeat it to you and then by themselves. The children are working hard learning the letters and sounds, but they still need to work on speed while saying them.
